# How to Unstake SWAN on SwanFi

If you need to withdraw your SWAN, don't worry—SwanFi's staking system makes it easy to access your funds. Unstaking SWAN involves two steps: requesting the withdrawal and then claiming your tokens. Here’s how to do it:

**Step 1: Head to the Withdrawals Tab**

* Go to the SwanFi withdrawal tab and connect your wallet.

**Step 2: Request or Claim**

In the withdrawals section, there are two actions: Request and Claim.

* Request: Use this to initiate the withdrawal of your staked SWAN. This step converts your fSWAN into SWAN.
* Claim: Use this to withdraw your converted SWAN tokens or OP rewards.

By default, the withdrawals tab opens in "Request" mode.

* Enter the amount of SWAN you wish to withdraw and click "Withdraw."

**Step 3: Confirm the Transaction**

* Sign and confirm the withdrawal transaction in your wallet when prompted.
* The withdrawal process typically takes around 7 days to complete. During this time, you will not earn additional rewards on the withdrawn stake.

**Step 4: Claim Your SWAN**

* After the withdrawal request is processed, you can see its status on the withdrawals tab. Remember to switch from “Request” mode to “Claim” mode.

* Once the withdrawal is ready, the "Claim" button will become active.
